Math Way Keyboard Shortcut for Subscript

There are various ways to achieve subscript and superscript in text, but I'll demonstrate one of the most basic methods using TextEdit on a Mac.

As you can see, I've created two examples: superscript and subscript. These notations are commonly used in equations and other mathematical contexts. For instance, when writing 'seven squared,' you would typically place the exponent (2) above the baseline, which is known as superscript. On the other hand, subscript refers to text that appears below the baseline.

To make text superscript or subscript using keyboard shortcuts on a Mac, there are a few different methods:

2. Use the following command combinations:

* For superscript: Command + Shift + =

* For subscript: Command + Shift + +

Note that you may need to remap the + sign to a different key on your keyboard layout, such as the CZ layout.

Alternatively, you can use sequence shortcuts in menu entries, which are only visible by default for Mac OS X users who are familiar with these sequences. These shortcuts include:

* Command + C to copy the selection

* Command + Shift + = for superscript

* Command + Shift + + for subscript

By mastering these keyboard shortcuts, you can improve your productivity and efficiency when working on equations or other mathematical content on a Mac.
